Providers of rental and leasing vehicles can retain values thanks to Service 4.0. Whether in the back office or in direct customer contact - knowledge is power when it comes to cost control and vehicle management. From maintenance planning to leasing vehicle retirement, up-to-date data is key to running your business efficiently. As a lessor, leasing fleets can be controlled online, processes can be automated and customers can be offered value-added financial services. Maintenance requirements, minor damage and accidents are detected in real time, are available online and the corresponding processes can be triggered automatically. This saves costs and effort for everyone involved.
With a comprehensive rights and roles concept, the data is available to fleet management and vehicle users. The possible use cases range from towing detection, electronic logbook with booking system, live location for emergency dispositions and order management, inspection and maintenance detection through the OBD/CAN data to the complete documentation of the vehicle history. The latter is helpful in remarketing if the absence of accidents and on-schedule inspections can be consistently proven by the telematics service in a tamper-proof manner.
The data source is OEM telematics, i.e. telematics systems built into the series by the manufacturer, e.g. from Mercedes-Benz Connectivity Services or retrofitted systems that also meet all data protection requirements.
