4.4. Will my data be processed not only for cellular services but also for other services?
Arealcontrol offers you various value-added services that go beyond the range of pure mobile communications services. Arealcontrol will continue to expand the range of such services in your interest in the future.

4.4.1. Location based services
For some of these value-added services, we or the network operator require additional information from you. For so-called location-based services such as For example, navigation services or WAP information require your current location to be specified - this is the only way we can provide you with the information you require about facilities close to the location, such as the nearest gas station or the nearest cinema. For personalized services such as B. personal stock exchange information, we need the number of the connection from which the respective service is requested. You can find out more about presetting your mobile phone and how to activate or suppress the display of the number in the operating instructions for your mobile phone.

4.6. Can I send anonymous SMS?
You cannot send anonymous SMS messages from your mobile phone. With the SMS recipient, your phone number will be displayed at the end of the SMS message even if you have suppressed the number display. For technical reasons, it is not possible to switch off the number display when sending short messages.

4.7. Data protection and cell phone repair
Arealcontrol does not offer its own end device. Nevertheless, we would like to point out the following points that must be observed when repairing cell phones and other end devices: In principle, our service companies that repair cell phones for us are obliged to delete all data on the cell phone. But you too can take precautions to prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your data. This is especially true if you take your cellular device in for repair. Before giving your phone away, make sure you have removed your cellular card from the device. This is the only way to prevent unauthorized access to your data. We also recommend that you delete the phone book data stored on your mobile phone or reset it to the factory settings. This will prevent unauthorized persons from gaining knowledge of your data, e.g. B. contrary to expectations, the device is mixed up.

4.8. What data has Arealcontrol saved about me?
In addition to the information given on your customer order (inventory data), we also save your communication data. This also includes your traffic data, which we collect when you make a call or communicate in any other way via our cellular network (e.g. by SMS). We need this data to establish and maintain the cellular connection and for billing purposes. In detail, we record your telephone and card number, the number of the subscriber you called and the start and end of the respective connection with the date and time. In the case of paid data transfers, such as B. SMS, MMS or GPRS, the following data is also recorded: the transmitted data volumes of the telecommunications service you are using and the other data required to set up, maintain and calculate the fee.

4.9. Data types

4.9.1. Inventory data

Contract data According to § 3 No. 30 TKG "traffic data" are data that are collected, processed or used in the provision of a telecommunications service. c) Information about the teleservices used by the user.

4.10. Proof of individual connection and deletion of traffic data
In principle, you can use the detailed list on your individual connection statement
recognize when you called which phone number. In the event that you are calling via one of our roaming partners abroad, some special features apply to the representation of the connections on your individual connection record. In the case of SMS that you send, only the call number of the short message center is listed for technical reasons and not the number of the recipient as is usually the case. When you take a call abroad, it is an incoming call for you that is subject to a charge. The caller's phone number will therefore also be listed on your itemized bill.
Arealcontrol generally stores all traffic data for a maximum of 180 days after the invoice has been sent. You can opt for a shorter storage time by means of an express declaration. In this case, the traffic data will be deleted at the latest after the invoice has been sent. You can choose whether your traffic data should be shortened by the last three digits or saved completely.

4.11. Company data protection officer
According to the GDPR, you have the right to receive information about the data stored about you - also insofar as it relates to the origin or recipient of this data - and the purpose of storing this data. Please send a written request to the address below.
In your letter, please describe the type of personal data that you would like to be informed about as precisely as possible and please include your mobile phone number.

4.12. What can I do if I am harassed or threatened on my phone number?
If you are harassed or threatened on your number and you do not know the number of the caller, you have the option of setting up a chargeable interception circuit with us. In this way, you can have someone else's phone number determined. A retrospective determination is not possible within the framework of a flying restart circuit. During an interception, you are obliged to document the threatening or harassing calls for us in writing and to conclusively explain what the harassment or threat consists of. For example, you may need to describe the exact content of these calls.
We can only provide you with information if the times we determined the calls match the documented conversations. In addition, we can only provide more detailed information if the caller's telephone number is available in the area control network, i.e. could be determined technically.
Our customer service will be happy to answer your questions about the topic of interception.

5. Data security
The security of personal information is very important to Arealcontrol. We secure our websites and other systems as well as all associated data with a considerable amount of technical, administrative and physical means that protect against loss, unauthorized access, destruction, misuse, modification and improper distribution. However, no computer system or no information can ever be completely protected against all possible dangers, although we carry out certain, expedient security controls in order to secure our systems against foreseeable dangers.

6. Cell phone viruses
The threat of viruses to mobile devices cannot be ruled out. For this reason, users of smartphones, tablets and phablets in particular should be just as vigilant as they are with virus protection for PCs.
Every customer of a mobile network operator is responsible for ensuring that his end device is virus-free, which can be guaranteed by appropriate software, e.g. B. Mobile Anti-Virus from F-Secure, Kaspersky, AntiVir Mobile from Avira or Mobile Security from Symantec.
