The ArealPilot 360° telematics app designed for mobile order management is now available in the Mercedes-Benz Truck App Portal. The solution offers a quick entry into telematics including GPS location, tracking, messaging, navigation, destination acceptance and order management. The app is compatible with almost all transport management systems (TMS) as well as with ArealPilot 360° PowerTMS, a solution developed by AREALCONTROL.
After activation and registration, the app automatically synchronizes with the booked services and functions. The Ba-sis version includes location data with speed, direction, time stamp and messaging with destination handover in the navigation. The use and recording of operation-specific activities such as departure control, loading, unloading, driving, breaks, maintenance, breakdowns, servicing, coupling, and traffic hold-ups can be additionally added.
Another feature is a full-fledged TMS order management system that can be used for partial and full loads, general cargo and tank/silo transports. It allows orders to be dispatched to the vehicles in the desired order using drag & drop, and then sent to all vehicles, either individually or collectively. The dispatch can also be carried out at a desired time via the telematics portal.
All orders are displayed in the app in an overview. At the start of the tour, the daily schedule including status feedback is carried out step by step via the "touch button". Meanwhile, the target-performance comparison is carried out in the portal so that the operator can intervene and provide information in sufficient time.
The "Auto-Dispatcher" function enables automatic dispatching in the PlanBoard of the Arealcontrol telematics portal. It provides optimized route planning on the basis of intelligent algorithms, while ensuring maximum economic efficiency of the vehicle. The conventional dispatching effort is thus reduced by up to 80 percent.
The app can be integrated into any transport management system (TMS) for secure data exchange without media discontinuity. In addition, the connection to collaboration platforms such as Timocom, Agheera (Deutsche Post DHL), Project44 (GateHouse), NiC-Place or Sixfold Transporeon is possible without any additional effort.
ArealPilot 360° Power TMS was designed for medium-sized companies and can be fully integrated into Microsoft Office 365 including Intranet and document management. The solution illustrates the entire operational process and work flow transparently in a single system. The forwarding software is currently used by a double-digit number of transport companies and provides address, vehicle and personnel management as well as integrated order management with pricing, scheduling, invoicing and reminders. Furthermore, the system is equipped with a document management system, an accounting system and DATEV connection.
